Metrostaff - Advanced Solution in Metrology

Metrostaff and Metris announce the agreement in the licensing of ARCO QUICK,
Metris and Metrostaff announce the signature of a licensing contract for the source code of ARCO QUICK, this agreement fits in the common strategy to guarantee a better control of the software with the issue of new releases on a regular base.
Metrostaff is now in the position to further develop and update the ARCO CAD product range with new capabilities, as hardware connectivity and CAD data processing.
Part of the agreement includes the integration of Metris laser scanners in ARCO CAD software.
Both the OEM and the End User will get benefit from this agreement with the optical inspection capabilities integrated in ARCO CAD software for CMM metrology.

The new powerful, user-friendly and modular measuring software. Arco is a world class dimensional metrology software, inheriting all technologies of former products like WinMeil Plus, Cad-Up Plus and RedStar. This application is an integrated solution for measuring prismatic parts as well as edges and free form surfaces, in manual, NC, point-to-point and continuous scanning modes. All phases of the inspection cycle are supported: from part programming to program debugging and final execution and reporting with statistics. Inspection part programming language adopted is DMIS and native CAD data formats are supported for model import in addition to traditional neutral formats. Graphical programming and reporting are ensured by a proprietary geometric and graphic engine, able to connect original CAD file geometry with inspection data and alignments. Modular software architecture open for the integration with new components for custom requirements

ARCO REVERSE

A flexible hardware-integrated system for reverse engineering.
A software companion to ARCO Cad, developed to enable measuring machine users to collect simple geometric elements as well a complex NURBS surfaces from unknown models for reverse engineering purposes. This application is a toolbox for the acquisition and quality assessment of free-form curves, surfaces and surface models as an input to a CAD system for the design stage.

A new solution for reverse engineering.
Many technologies for sampling points on a physical model are available. SMesh uses these points to generate a fully automated fashion a mathematical description of the object through a high resolution smooth mesh. This description can be imported into the most diffuse CAD-CAM systems.

NATIVE CAD INTERFACE

Direct import of CAD native formats.
The expertise gained in the native CAD file formats (Parametric Technology ProEngineer, CATIA v.4 and v.5, Unigraphics NX) allows Metrostaff to offer custom library developments for the integration of these data in third party applications.
